Fall Fun

Is it just me or is November flying by?!! I can't believe that Thanksgiving is a week away. I love the vibe of this time of year! The holidays are coming and even though it tends to be a totally crazy time, it is filled with so many fun events and comforting feelings. It also means that I can bake all my favorite treats and not feel as guilty about running my oven for hours at a time! =)  Here in California the season change is not as obvious as it is in other parts of the country. So in my classroom we try to do as many different Fall activities as possible to get in the spirit!

My kiddos have been working harder than ever lately and we've been trying to sneak in some fun projects along the way. Many of my standard Fall projects actually incorporate a lot of different math skills. The kids have such a great time applying their knowledge in a fun and creative way. Some of our favorites are a scarecrow glyph, pattern block scarecrow, and a count/add/graph activity packet.

Check out some pics of what we have been up to lately!

Lastly, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has been checking out my new TPT store!!! I really appreciate all of your support and I hope you enjoy the goodies you have downloaded as much as I do!

Thanks!

Here goes nothin'!

Well hello world of blogging! I can't believe I am actually ripping off the band aid and starting this blogging and TPT adventure.

Over the past two years, I have spent countless hours cruising dozens of teaching blogs and have been SO inspired! There are some FABULOUS teachers out there, who are amazing role models. My teaching has greatly improved from all of the wonderful resources and ideas that these women have shared. Some of my favorites, are of course, the AMAZING Cara and Abby of The First Grade Parade and The Inspired Apple

So like I said, here goes nothin'! I figure it would be rude to not properly introduce myself. I'm a first grade teacher in Northern California who works at an amazing school. I am so blessed to spend my work day with some of my best friends. We share everything and collaboration is key to our success. When I'm not teaching, my other passions are baking and working out. Let's face it, I work out because I need to do something to balance out all the cookies and cake pops in my life. Over the course of time, you may even get to meet "Hubs", my wacky and creative toy designer husband and see some of my tasty treats that I make when I'm on my breaks!

I promise that I will start posting pics and giveaways soon. Until then, you can check out my first TpT activities at my store here. I can't wait to get to know all of you and continue supporting the wonderful world of teacher bloggers!
